As ERA, we mobilized against the disaster that affected our country in the 2021 Turkey forest fires. We extended a helping hand to fire zones by providing material and moral support. With our understanding of social responsibility, we made an effort to make Turkey feel that we were with them in difficult times.
The 2021 Türkiye forest fires were a tragic event that deeply affected our country. The forest fires, which started in Antalya's Manavgat district on July 28, 2021 and surrounded many of our cities, turned into a major disaster with 299 fires in 53 provinces as of August 12, 2021. As a result of these fires, 8 people lost their lives, more than 150 thousand hectares of forest area and many settlements were reduced to ashes, and thousands of animals lost their lives.
As ERA, we took immediate action against this painful incident and extended a helping hand to fire zones all over Turkey. We tried to meet the needs in fire zones by providing material and moral support. With our understanding of social responsibility, we did our best to show that we are with them in this difficult period that our country is going through.
We convey our best wishes to all teams working devotedly in the fight against fires and to our citizens in fire zones, and we attach importance to being in solidarity together for a stronger Turkey.
